A day with WinShape

By September 25, 2008Uncategorized

One of the partnerships that Wayfarer entered last year was with WinShape camps and WinShape camps C3, and yesterday we got to spend time with Gabe Norris, Ken Thomas, Mark Lamb, and Tricia Watts from the WinShape team. We spent the day taking the 2009 camp theme of Enough and working to start putting some structure behind the theme. It was an intense day, but we got a lot of traction, and it was great to start looking ahead. Wayfarer will write small-group curriculum, devotions, pastor moments, camper books, and family moments as well as creating videos for use at this camp. It was a lot of hard work, but it was a great day, and it’s always fun to catch up with the WinShape team.

WinShape camps happen in two ways. WinShape Boys and Girls camps happen in Rome, Ga., over four two-week sessions each summer. Both the Boys and Girls side do camp for junior campers (2nd-6th grade) and senior campers (7th-12th grade). The C3 camps travel around the nation doing a week of day camp for 1st-6th graders. C3 had 27 camp sites last year and is working to expand to 36 sites in summer 2009.
