Engage review 3/30 – God is not a respecter of persons

By March 30, 2009Archived

Last night at Engage we delved into Acts 10 and discovered that God is not a respecter of persons. This was good and bad news for us. If we think of ourselves as among the least and the lost, then it is great news that God does not show favoritism. But if we think highly of ourselves, we will discover that God doesn’t think as much of us as we think of ourselves. As a demonsration of this, we asked the community to lead us in worship by inviting the crowd to begin the songs God has placed in their hearts. It was a powerful experience to drive home the message of the night.

If you missed the message, or if you just want to hear it again, check out the Engage podcast. We’d also love to hear your thoughts about Engage in the comments below. And plan on joining us again next Monday as we continue the series God is not.
