Weekend travel and Wayfarer Camp news

By April 24, 2009Uncategorized

The spring Disciple now/retreat season is winding down, but Wayfarer’s team of speakers isn’t quite done yet. Dave Rhodes is in Plant City, Florida, this weekend to do a Disciple Now at First Baptist Church of Plant City. The weekend is using Wayfarer’s Room 1228 theme Redefining Normal. Dave’s wife Kim and their two girls went with him to take advantage of the fact that they have family in that area.

Chad Norris is in town to speak at two local youth groups to promote Wayfarer Camp at Anderson University. On Tuesday, Chad spoke to the Vapor Student Ministry at Southside Fellowship. Southside is coming to Wayfarer Camp, so this was a chance for Chad to begin to get to know the students and to share with them about some of the amazing things that are going to happen at Wayfarer Camp this year. We’re thankful that Chris Armfield and Josh Amos at Southside allowed Chad to come to let their students know about Wayfarer Camp directly.

Chad will visit Bethlehem Baptist Church this Sunday to meet the students there and encourage them to come to camp. We’re excited that Will Gunter and his group are coming to Wayfarer Camp as well, and we know that they’ll have a good experience with us this summer.

Pray for the guys as they speak this weekend and wind down their spring travel season. It’s going to be great to have them home for most of May so that they can rest and prepare for the busy summer camp season.
