November is finally here! That may make some people more anxious than not, with all the Holidays coming up, but not the Wayfarer Team! We prepared for the upcoming Holiday craziness by having a crazy eventful October! Below, you’ll find what our October looked like! Enjoy!
The beginning of October started off with Sam and James heading to Nebraska for a youth retreat that Sam was invited to speak at. This would also be the first time James has ever flown. Lucky for him, he had a pro to guide him through the entire flying process:
When the team arrived in Nebraska, we met up with some familiar faces. Thanks David Walker and Alex LaCasse for leading worship:
Nebraska was beautiful, so the team went sight seeing/picture taking:
After the retreat, Sam and James had a few days to have great conversations with church leaders all over Omaha.
The entire Wayfarer team was able to be a part of ANW’s Quest Camp this year just outside of Olympia, Washington. The team flew into Portland, OR and then drove to Olympia. The view was amazing flying into Portland. This is somewhere over Yellowstone National Park:
Once we were at the camp in Olympia, we had an awesome time meeting the staff and a great first night of Quest:
Of course we were happy to have a familiar face with us! So thankful for Chris Brooks for speaking and exploring the Washington scene with us!
After Quest, the team drove back to Portland and took a red-eye to Atlanta. This was James’s first red-eye and instead of sleeping on the plane, he found a nice row of seats in Atlanta’s airport to have a nap:
The Well Weekend!
The last weekend in October, the team was able to spend Saturday with The Well – Seacoast from Charleston. It was a great weekend of training and equipping college and young adult leaders!
The Wayfarer team got to spend Halloween with the Oikos! It was a great end to the month of October!
Here are the Reichleys on Halloween. David brought back the morphsuit from camp to be a Steelers fan’s shadow and Courtney was a mom for Halloween:
Here’s Arrow as The Arrow from Arrow
And here he is trying to walk in his outfit.
October was great, but it wouldn’t have been great if it weren’t for the people around supporting and cheering for us! Thank you all for making October and the rest of our year awesome!
